Biography

Born in 1964 in Łowiczu . It deals with sculpture, drawing and installation and experimental animated film . In the years 1983-1989 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Faculty of Sculpture in prof. George Jarnuszkiewicz, prof. Stanislaus Kulon and prof. Grzegorz Kowalski and Drawing in prof. Marian Czapla. In 1989 he defended his thesis, whose main part was the figural group titled ” The Temptation of St. Anthony “, under the guidance of prof. Grzegorz Kowalski . In 1990-1992, as part of a scholarship Notoro Foundation and the Centre of Polish Sculpture realized triptych monumental bronze sculptures ” Polish Rider “. In 1993-1994 he was granted Cultural Foundation. In 1997 he received an award for sculpture ” Cain and Abel ” at the exhibition ” Sacred” in Czestochowa. In 2004-2005 he was granted Kulczyk Foundation . Thrice / 1994, 1999 , 2008 / nominated for the ” Passports Policy .” He is the author of over eighty solo exhibitions and participated in more than one hundred and twenty group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He made his debut while still a student , several times before presenting a diploma in Dziekanka and ASP shares and sculpture. These works formed part of a trend in art nowoekspresyjny young . Also in the later works of the artist represents the expressionist style based on the means of expression : simplification and zbrutalizowaniu or deformed shapes, redraw the details and proportions in sculpture in wood – the introduction of acute polychrome . On the word of his sculptures also influenced by folk art and primitive , including the formal characteristics of African figures and masks . The artist willing to take the themes and topics antique , giving them quite non-classical form. The second theme of his favorite subjects are Biblical and Christian , often subjected to – from dramatic diploma – interpretation and updated regularly far from canon and doctrine. Creativity Ambroziak early noticed and appreciated , has been repeatedly shown in exhibitions, among which highlight common presentations – expressionist painter Eugeniusz Markowski . Linked with the Foundation since 1990 Notoro ( sponsor said the ” Polish Rider ” ) , participated in exhibitions organized by it and symposia . Often exhibited abroad , especially in Germany.
